Polipropilena Lotte Chemical
Lotte Chemical Titan (Malaysia) Polypropylene (PP) plants are configured to produce PP homopolymers, as well as PP random copolymers and PP Impact Copolymers. Copolymerization improves PP's impact resistance and flexibility. Random copolymers exhibit higher clarity, good impact resistance and more flexibility. Impact copolymers exhibit greater impact strength at lower temperatures and higher melting points than random copolymers. Polypropylene is widely used for automobile materials, fibers for carpets, various kinds of containers, etc. Lotte Chemical Titan in Malaysia owns and operates two PP plants which have a combined nominal capacity of above 390KTA. The first PP plant commenced operations in December 1991 and the second plant commenced commercial operations in September 1999 to meet the increased demand for PP. Both plants utilize LyondellBasell’s Spheripol PP process technology to produce homopolymers, random copolymers and impact polymers. Lotte Chemical Titan’s PP plants are located at Pasir Gudang and are currently producing products with melt flow rate (MFR) ranging from 1.7 to 60 g/10min.
